Go to System Preferences and select the "Profiles" icon. If there is no icon, do a spotlight search for "profiles" and select "Profiles -- PreferencesPanes". If there is no option, proceed to Step 3
Highlight the profile called "UF Wireless Network" and select the minus sign to delete. You may be prompted to enter your account administrator password. If there is no profile called "UF Wireless Network", proceed to Step 3
Step 4: When prompted to install "UF Wireless Network", choose continue. You may be prompted to confirm authorship and/or enter your account administrator password.
Step 5: Next you should be presented with a login prompt for your university credentials. Please enter your Gatorlink credentials here and select "install" to continue. You may be prompted to again enter you administrative password.
Step 6: Verify you now have a "UF Wireless Network" profile as a User Profile and return to System Preferences. Select the "Network" icon.
Step 7: In the left-hand listbox, select the Wi-Fi connection and click "Advanced...".
Step 8: Under the "Wi-Fi" tab in the "Preferred Networks:" listbox, select "uf" and drag it to the top of the list. Also, if "ufinfo" is in the list, select it and delete it with the minus sign. Choose "OK".
Step 9: Ensure the Network Name:"uf" is selected, then choose "Apply" and close the window.
Download, install, and run this SafeConnect package
if it not already running on your MacBook. It is located in the Applications directory.
You should now be connected to the UF Wireless Network.
